Home Is My Favorite Place To Be Project

Spring is one of my favorite seasons. The air is still a little cool, everything is green, and new life is emerges. Spring time is also softball and baseball season! The cool but can still give you a sunburn air, hearing the crack of the ball inside a mitt and the ping of the ball hitting the bat have always gotten me excited. When I met my husband we quickly found that we had a common passion for softball. As a result we would spend hours playing catch and talking. We have since played on several co-ed softball teams together. Since our love for softball was what kick-started our relationship I have always wanted to make a sign using a home plate. When I came up with the design home is my favorite place to be for my etsy shop I designed it with the future project of adding this design to a home plate in mind. This home plate sign an easy project that doesn't take too much time and is the  perfect DIY home decor for any baseball or softball loving families home. It would also make a perfect end of season baseball or softball coaches gift. Each of the players could sign it with their name and number. Supplies You Will Need Alright! Lets get to the project. Here is a list of what you will need. Wood in the shape of a home plate. I purchased my home plate off of Amazon. Home is my favorite place to be decal. The design can be purchased at my etsy shop Steffan Design. Since we are using it as a stencil it can be any color. Threads decal. This can be downloaded here. Just like the previous decal since we are using it as a stencil the vinyl [...]

A True Love Story Never Ends

Since Valentine's day is tomorrow I wanted to spotlight one of the Valentine's Day/Romantic SVG designs that I sell in my Etsy shop. 'A true love story never ends' is probably one of my favorite designs. Not only would it make cute DIY Valentine's Day decor, this design could be used to make an every day home decor item or be used for a special event like an anniversary or wedding decor item. Cutting out this file with a cricut or silhouette is easy. As a result there are loads of DIY projects can be made with this design. Hear are a few simple ideas to get your creative juices flowing. 1. Print & Place In a Picture Frame Printing this design in black and white and placing it inside a picture frame is probably one of the simplest ways to using this design. As a result of being on a tight budget shopping for picture frames at thrift stores is my favorite route. Thrift store frames are inexpensive and with the help of a little spray paint they can all be made the same color. 2. Vinyl Decal A die cutting machine like a cricut or silhouette can be used to create a decal of this romantic SVG design. You can follow How to cut an SVG with cricut design center tutorial if you aren't sure how to cut out an SVG file. Don't have a cricut or silouhette? Don't worry! Local sign shops can make this design into a decal. Just take the SVG file to them on a flash drive. The adhesive vinyl sticks well to walls but doesn't leave any sticky residue behind. As a result wall decals are perfect for decorating a wall in your house for both temporary or long term use. 3. Home Decor [...]

Simple Kitchen & Pantry Labels

I don’t know about you, but of all of the rooms in my house I spend the most time it my kitchen. One of my favorite activities to do with my son is making cookies. When it comes time to make meals and especially baking having uniform containers makes it a lot easier. I have uniform containers for my sugar, flower, baking soda, baking power, cocoa, and chocolate chips. Taking my uniform containers a step further and adding simple kitchen labels has definitely increased my productivity. With my toddler "helping" me cook one never knows what can happen in just a few short seconds. This post contains affiliate links. Organization Saves Time in the Kitchen Growing up my mom had containers for all of her baking ingredients. It made the baking process go much faster. When I first started baking with my son my baking and spice cupboard quickly turned into a mess! These Snapware containers were the answer to my problem. They are airtight stack-able containers that come in a variety of sizes, perfect for storing my baking ingredients and pantry items like pancake mix and rice as well as my powder laundry detergents and can be purchased on amazon.com. Simple and Easy to Use Kitchen Labels Shortly after adding my baking powder, baking soda, and corn starch to the same sized containers I quickly realized that it was hard to tell the difference between the 3 ingredients by sight. So, I came up with these kitchen and pantry labels to solve my problem and better organize my kitchen. These simple looking and easy to use pantry [...]
